“Snowflake, the White Gorilla” – Floquet de Neu – is a 2011 Spanish film which is live action with… animal animation…well kind of. Directed by Andrés G. Schaer, this movie delivers a story about Snowflake, the only white gorilla. She is a superstar of the zoo. Even so, Snowflake feels different and so she goes in search of a witch with the help of her best friend Ailur, the red panda with whom she has an adventure in hopes of getting a spell that will change her fur so that she can look like other gorillas.
The picture creatively combines animation and live action and actors voiced the characters in the English version, such as David Spade and Ariana Grande. Even though the film has been criticized by critics, it explores the issues of self-acceptance and adventure through the eyes of a child.
