My old ass is an adolescence drama-comedy by Megan Park which will be released in theaters from 20th Jan, 2024 at the Sundance Film Festival. Set at Matthews, Maisy Stella plays 18-year-old Eliot. The protagonist’s style of living changes after a 39-year-old herself appears before her when Ireland is on a mushroom high on the birthday, and this witty and sardonic character emanates from Aubrey Plaza. This sanguine episode makes Elliott start thinking about why she has chosen to marry or why there is no one in her life. This adds more intrigue and mystery straying from the linear tail as summer comes along thus making them plan that over again. The film features a notable cast, including Percy Hynes White, Maddie Ziegler and Maria Dizzia. Production started in the Ontario region of Muskoka Lakes in August 2022. Amazon MGM Studios is the distributor of My Old Ass which paid 15 million to acquire distribution rights, the film will be made available both in theaters and streaming on Prime Video. The film has cakewalk elements with strong performances to embolden the otherwise sleepy early reviews with 92% rate on Rotten Tomatoes. In the United States, the film will have its limited release on September 13, 2024.
