Mending Fences

Mending Fences is a drama film on romance and estrangement directed by Stephen Bridgewater and stars Laura Leighton and Angie Dickinson. It was aired first on the Hallmark Channel on July 18, 2009. An ex-tv journalist Kelly Faraday who comes back to her native place in the state of Nevada gets more attracted to the place. She learns that her family’s farm is in danger due to the harsh drought and she needs to repair her relationship with her mother Ruth, whom she hasn’t met in a long time, while a casino owner wants to control the village water supply.

The movie touches on such issues as family, and society as a whole as well as the environment such as drought in particular and its effects on the society in the rural settings.
