Plot Overview

The film Visfot is about taxi driver Vishnu, played by Riteish Deshmukh, who gets embroiled in a kidnapping plot by mistake. The turning point in Vishnu’s life is an abduction of an innocent little boy-the son of a rich media owner. This petty crime gets out of control and into a web of deception, intrigue and mind games.

Vishnu understands that handing over the boy will not be as simple as it appears and this precipitates a bout of hasty decision making, of which any one move could be fatal. The film examines the lives of those who are caught in a web of circumstances, in this case of course, Vishnu, whose life is not as it could have possibly been, and others, who get deeply involved with the storyline in a dramatic twist.

Cast

Riteish Deshmukh in the role of Vishnu, a cab driver who faces turmoil in her life due to his work.

Fardeen Khan as also another important character and who has made a comeback to the silver screen after a long absence. The character’s role is central to the built up of drama.

Priya Bapat and Krystle D’Souza also features in pivotal roles that enhance the intricate story.

Very important to the success of the film were its performances wherein the critics highlighted the fact that Riteish Deshmukh’s role as Vishnu was different from his usual comedy roles and he can act more than just making people laugh. Look forward to Fardeen Khan’s comeback too with people anxious enough to see him after being off the screen for so long.

Direction and production

Kookie Gulati, when he also directed movies like the big bull, has directed visfot, which also seeks to take advantage of his familiar ground cut-off. The film was produced by sanjay gupta and bhushan kumar who are known for producing masala dhamaal action and drama bollywood movies.

Themes and Tone

More than that, Visfot is theater online crime sergeant. Guilt, despair and betrayal, moral dilemmas all twist in complex, spine-tingling dimensionality. The more common theme surprises the audience as it twists most people’s lives because of one event and how it can be done. The film certainly has its share of high tension but that is also punctuated with high emotional scenes making the film a balance of a crime thriller and an emotional drama.

Cinematography and Music

One such thing that stands out is the cinematography, there are scenes which depict the city of Mumbai and its fast-paced lifestyle which is the very city where the story is based. The imagery also seeks to add to the stressful and depressing mood of the film. The music enhances the eeriness of the film, although without it too much trouble the film would work.

Reception

Although Visfot has wowed many other critics due to the cast of the film and thrilling plot, the ratings have been mixed. It was generally appreciated for the cast performances, in particular Riteish Deshmukh’s less than bright character, whereas others thought the pace of the story could have been more interesting, as was the unfolding off the plot itself. However the suspense and thrill factor was effective enough to keep the audience right where they needed to be, on their seats.

If you want a crime thriller filled with lots of drama and interesting character dynamics, then you can consider this film which is ‘Visfot’.
