Here (2024), directed Zemeckis is again teamed with Forrest Gump contributors Tom Hanks and Robin Wright for this film which is similar to Richard McGuire’s novel written in 2014. The film locality has a prevalent place where several families having no ancestor relations inhabit together for a long time. The current story is woven around the interconnected elements of affection, grief, and the essence of life. This story is immersive as it portrays the passage of time in a non-conventional way by changing the very landscape of the story.

The people appearing with Hanks and Wright are Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, Michelle Dockery, and Gwilym Lee. Here utilizes more than just a traditional approach where the film’s producers visually ‘de-age’ actors and actresses during three-dimensional scenes.

The film was screened as part of the AFI Fest on October 25, 2024. It was then made available to the general public for viewing on November 1st. Nonetheless, such projects remain unique and powerful in terms of engaging the viewer via narratives filled with emotion, even if they come across as overwhelming regarding the special effects applied within the storyline.
