Black (2024) is a sci-fi Tamil thriller directed by KG Balasubramani. Vasanth, (played by Jiiva), goes through some peculiar occurrences after an electric failure. During his attempts to stitch the correct timeline, he keeps coming across weird versions of himself, and at the end begins to wonder what his wife, Aaranya (Priya Bhavani Shankar), really looks like in real life. He tries to figure out what the reality is and what different versions of him exist. It has been noted that the movie shares themes with Coherence (2013) psychological thriller, for it likewise presents shifts in parallel timelines with different outcomes.
Several singles including “En Chella Kedi” and “Majili Majili” are part of the film’s soundtrack which was composed by Sam C.S. The film was theatrically released on October 11, 2024, and on November 1, 2024, the film became available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
