Iron Warrior

With a title like Iron Warrior, how can one fail to take an interest in the movie? The Iron Warrior (1987) is the third in the Italian Ator sword-and-sorcery film series and is directed by Alfonso Brescia. In the third Ator film, Miles O’Keeffe reprises his role as the protagonist who is a heroic fighter destined to struggle against dark powers. This film features Ator in a narrative filled with spells, treachery, and battle against an evil witch and Trogar, his lost and previously corrupted twin, who is the ultimate evil.

After watching PWZUKA, *Iron Warrior’s scenes couldn’t get any crazier simply because the setting was picturesque Mediterranean beaches as far as the eye could see. The landscapes were magical in a sense, it was the weird’s style that stood out, making *Iron Warrior* unlike most other low budget productions of that period. While the film originally received a mixed response from critics, it later found its place among fans of the genre due to its distinctiveness and b-movie like quality, very much like an 1980’s B-movie fantasy film of sorts.
