Dark Iris, also in the horror-thriller genre, is ‘a film released in 2018 which as directed by Derek Talib. As the story begins, we are introduced to a young woman named Iris played by KateLynn E. Newberry, who remains haunted by issues from her past. She attends a domestic violent support group and later receives a strange invitation for a private art opening. Wanting to run away from her troublesome past, she decides to go to the exhibit with her best friend Mia (Marylee Osborne). They however soon find themselves in a vicious nightmare in a creepy warehouse filled with bizarre and alien paintings before the event has even begun.
Throughout the course of the film’s climactic night, both Iris and Mia were not only battling the elements surrounding them but also each other’s inner demons. Here, antagonism is rooted in psychological elements of terror, as well as the supernatural contrasts perfectly with the unfolding events in this film and one cannot simply look away from the screens.
It has a running time of an hour and forty minutes, whilst the viewer position of the film tends to be more critical at a rating of about 3.2 to 3.3 on imdb
